My Only One

I have climbed the highest mountains,

I have walked the longest distance,

I have searched all the land,

to look for wisdom and for love,

but alas, only barren fields,

is what I have encountered on the path!

I journey through my soul’s dark night,

fighting the demons all inside,

waiting for the bright light

to illuminate my sight.

I have tasted some bitter fruits,

I have stumbled on the thorns of pride,

and burned myself on the fire of lust,

but yet, somehow,

by some Divine arrangement,

I managed to keep You in my heart,

‘cause You remain my only One!

Strangers come and go,

crossing my path,

sometimes, lifting me up,

sometimes, bringing me down,

yet, somehow, You remain my only One!

Adventures start and end,

people cross my mind and heart,

tears and smiles paint my face,

scars remain,

leaving me without any gains,

yet, somehow, You remain my only One!

Oh, Dear Friend Divine,

in happiness or distress,

in loss or gain,

 victory or defeat,

You remain my only One!

Oh, Dear Friend Divine,

make me move according to

Your Love Song Divine,

make me be the servant

I was always meant to be,

clear my heart

and allow me to act out of Love,

so, I can please You,

and everyone in sight!

Oh, Dear Friend Divine,

there is no one but You,

who remains my only One!

This pretend to be servant is

submitting his heart

at Thy Lotus Feet!
