Ambassador of the heart

I have travelled many lands,

I have climbed many mountains,

I have traversed all the roads,

and I believed I looked for You,

but instead,

 I ended up almost dead!

Hidden traps appeared

on the surface of my mind.

Looking to the left,

I found pride and lust

feasting on my desires!

Looking to the right,

I found greed and envy,

enchanting my attention!

Indeed, the traps of distractions,

are my only attractions.

Oh, Dear Friend Divine,

when will that day be mine,

when we all join hands

and become ambassadors of the heart?

When will that day be mine,

when I forget ‘me’ and ‘mine’

and simply run to the streets

to sing Thy Holy Names?

Let me walk on any path,

let me speak to anyone,

let me climb any heights,

let me dance and sing at every square,

but never let me not be an ambassador of Your Heart!

Sharing, singing, dancing, feasting­­–

let me bring all that

to the saddened hearts all around!

Enough of darkness, sorrow, and despair,

it’s time for me to get prepared,

for the glorious and virtuous path,

of forgetting all my troubles,

and being an ambassador to everyone’s heart!

Oh, Dear Friend Divine, please,

let me never waste my time

and simply give me strength

to help everyone transition

into their original position!
